WI Details
Our WI was established in Edwalton in 1947. Although we are a long-standing WI we are open to trying out fresh ideas and have plenty to offer members at our meetings and in our group activities. For instance, we have a walking group to get you out and about, a darts team where you play matches against other WIs, a book group with a different book to read each month and discuss over a glass of wine. If that is not enough there is a lunch club that meet once a month trying out different restaurants. And finally a craft group that meets regularly for you to take your work along for a natter over tea and biscuits.
When do we meet
We meet on the third Tuesday of each month except August when we usually have a trip out. Meetings start at 7.30pm but people start to arrive from about 7.15pm. We usually finish around 2 hours later at 9.30pm. The meetings are relaxed and social with lots of chat over a coffee and biscuits.
Where do we meet?
We meet in Edwalton Church Hall which in Wellin Lane, the entrance from Wellin Lane is next to Wellin Close. Go along the drive next to Wellin Close and you will find the church hall. There is plenty of parking for all. There is an interactive map at the bottom of a page CLICK HERE.
